在磨則磷。玉生雖堅。維居必徙。豈曰能賢。氷開春日。蘭敗秋年。教隨類反。習乃情遷。命符三漏。生偕十纏。茲焉遂往。憂畏方延。

When ground, it wears thin; / though jade is born hard. / Where one dwells, one must relocate; / how can one be called worthy? / Ice melts under the spring sun; / orchids wither in the autumn year. / Teachings are reversed according to one's kind; / habits shift along with emotion. / Life conforms to the three outflows; / birth is accompanied by the ten fetters. / Heading toward this continuously, / anxiety and dread only lengthen.
