生塗非一理。識緒固饒津。徒駭東陵富。空嗟北郭貧。國生曾已戾。顏氏信為仁。逢尤昭往業。習善會茲身。勤憂永夷泰。晏安終苦辛。令名且云重。豈若樹良因。

The paths of life are not of a single principle; / The strands of consciousness are truly abundant. / In vain do people marvel at the wealth of Dongling; / Empty are their sighs for the poverty of the Northern Suburb. / Guosheng was once rebellious; / The son of Yan was truly benevolent. / Meeting with blame illuminates past karma; / Cultivating goodness converges in this body. / Diligent care brings eternal peace; / Idle ease ends in bitter toil. / Even if a fine name is deemed important, / How could it compare to planting good causes?
