神膏施惟重。玄酒恩未隆。明璣隋水上。潤玉藍田中。稟天性所極。資敬道攸崇。羽毛共以勢。輪軌相為通。報德愴前雅。酬言愛餘風。遵途每多舛。顧省能無忡。

The gift of divine balm is weightiest of all; / The favor of clear water is not yet grand. / Bright pearls gleam upon the Sui River; / Lustrous jade rests amidst Lantian. / Endowed by nature to the utmost reach, / Revering virtue is what the Way exalts. / Feathers and fur join forces together; / Wheels and ruts align to pass along. / Repaying virtue, I lament the ancients of refined grace; / Answering words, I cherish what remains of their breeze. / Along the path traversed, how often one errs; / Looking within, how could one not tremble with fear?
