The room of orchids changes the tumbleweed heart; / Sandalwood cliffs transform the elā grass. / Vermilion and blue are bound to fade; / How could silk and gravel always stay white? / A bent shaft is yet trued by the ink-line; / Crooked wood is subsequently carved and adorned. / A single basket of earth may complete a mountain; / At a hundred li, one grows weary halfway along the road. / The flourishing Han was sustained by kingly ministers; / Great Chu truly had none to protect it. / Strive on! Virtue does not stand alone; / Utmost words are not made in vain.
