從前發心以來。知至德可歸。檢校剋責滅諸惡門。疑惑既遣慚愧續修。勸獎兼行戒德又顯。得捨如是之罪障。餐聽若斯之勝法。豈得不踊躍歡喜嗟抃自慶者乎。

Since generating the aspiration [for enlightenment] in the past, I have known that supreme virtue can be relied upon, scrutinized and reproached myself to eliminate all gates of evil, dispelled doubts and hesitations, and continuously cultivated shame and conscience. Exhorting and encouraging have been practiced alongside, and the virtue of precepts has also become manifest. Having managed to abandon such sinful obstacles and to partake of and listen to such superior Dharma, how could one not leap for joy, applaud with delight, and rejoice in oneself?
