Joy comes from arising and ceasing; / Trouble is due to preserving the body. / Karma relies on the mind's creation; / Matters depend on verbal snares. / Gain and decline entirely lean upon them; / Glory and disgrace are entangled herein. / The Yan steed cannot tread [this ground]; / The Zhou bronze is vainly engraved. / Delusion begins like threads in the wind; / The realm of attachment hangs like a banner. / If one is not diligent in reaching the One, / How can one step upon the four dhyānas?
