竊伏下風久揖高義。有懷靡託於悒良深。春暮清和道體休納。弟子植生多幸。早預法緣。近於華岳創立僧宇。此山蘊蓄奇秘控接煙霞。削峯累仞靈泉百丈。神仙以為勝地。賢哲之所同歸。結構雖淹禪誦猶寡。厥導興廢弘之在人。且棟梁三寶。必資龍象之力。羽儀四眾。尤待鴛鷺之群。法師等學洞經典譽宣真俗。實宜共化蒼生升於彼岸。且達人屈己存乎應物。大德忘名唯在申教。理必弘濟無隔遐邇仰願俯從微請。降迹來儀。則釋遠禪居遙蹤可擬。王珣精舍清塵不沫。是所願也。是所願也。

Humbly placing myself in a subordinate position, I have long bowed to your lofty virtue. Harbouring sentiments with nowhere to entrust them, my melancholy is profound indeed. In this clear and harmonious late spring, may your religious person be well. This disciple was blessed with much good fortune in planting roots, early participating in Dharma conditions. Recently, I founded a monastic dwelling on Mount Hua. This mountain gathers mysterious secrets and borders the mists and clouds; its sheer peaks rise many fathoms, and its spiritual springs drop a hundred yards. Immortals regard it as a supreme place, and worthy sages converge there together. Although the structures have long been completed, dhyāna and recitation are still scarce. Whether such guidance flourishes or declines depends on people to propagate it. Moreover, the pillars and beams of the triratna must rely on the strength of nagas and elephants; the exemplary models for the four assemblies especially await the flock of egrets and cranes. The Dharma masters' learning penetrates the scriptures and their reputation spreads across the true and the conventional. It is truly fitting that you together transform the living beings and raise them to the other shore. Furthermore, when an accomplished person bends himself, his aim is to respond to creatures; when a person of great virtue forgets fame, his sole focus is on setting forth the teaching. In principle, broad deliverance knows no barrier of near or far; I respectfully pray you will condescend to grant my humble request and deign to grace us with your arrival. Then Master Huiyuan's dhyāna dwelling will find a distant precedent to be matched, and Wang Xun's monastery will have its pure dust unforgotten. This is my wish; this is my wish.
