The Emperor's Way accords with the golden wheel; manifest in the world, he resides in the imperial palace. Overshadowing the ten directions, he acts as a ferry across the three realms. Wishing to have the music of Yunhe proclaimed together with the Dharma drum, and the sounds of the Odes and Hymns carry far alongside the brahma-sound, he thereupon commanded the fushi artisans to cast this metal and tin. Its resonance blends with wind and thunder; its merit matches the creative transformations of nature. Galloping like a fierce tiger, it bears the dragon-ornaments and is poised to take flight; winding like a coiled dragon, it circles riding the wind as if in motion. At dawn the subtle sound goes forth; at dusk the ghaṇṭā shakes. None fail to incline their ears to realize the unborn, entering the spirit to ascend to right awakening. Though the round ocean may dry up, the blessings shall be inexhaustible; though the square rock may easily wear away, the power of vows is limitless.
