臣綱啟伏聞勅旨垂。為臣於同泰寺瑞應殿。建涅槃懺。臣障雜多災身穢饒疾。針艾湯液每黷天覽。重蒙曲慈降斯大福。冀惠雨微垂即滅身火。梵風纔起私得清涼。無事非恩伏枕何答。不任下情。謹奉啟謝聞謹啟。

Your servant Gang submits: I have humbly heard the imperial decree graciously granted, establishing a Nirvāṇa Repentance for your servant in the Ruiying Hall of Tongtai Temple. Your servant is laden with mixed hindrances and many calamities; my defiled body is prone to frequent illnesses. The acupuncture, moxibustion, decoctions, and medicines have repeatedly disturbed the Imperial sight. Repeatedly receiving this gracious kindness that confers such great blessings, I hope that as the gentle rain of compassion lightly falls, the fire of my body will instantly be quenched, and as the brahma-wind barely rises, I shall privately gain cool relief. Since nothing is not a kindness, prostrate on my pillow, how can I repay it? Unable to master my humble sentiments, I respectfully present this memorial to express my thanks. Respectfully submitted.
