絕俗俗無侶。修心心自齋。連崖夕氣合。虛宇宿雲霾。臥藤新接戶。欹石久成階。樹聲非有意。禽戲似忘懷。故人市朝狎。心期林壑乖。唯憐對芳杜。可以為吾儕。

Severed from the vulgar, the vulgar has no companions;
Cultivating the mind, the mind itself observes retreat.
Across connected cliffs, evening vapors gather;
In the empty hall, nocturnal clouds hang overcast.
Reclining vines newly reach the door;
Slanted rocks have long formed steps.
The sounds of trees are without intention;
The play of birds seems heedless of worldly care.
Old friends grow familiar with marketplace and court;
Their heart's vows part from forests and ravines.
I cherish only facing the fragrant pollia,
Which can serve as my true companions.
