道林俗之表。慧遠廬之阿。買山節高世。乘杯且度河。法雨時時落。香雲片片多。若為將羽化。來濟在塵羅。

Daolin dwelt beyond the secular; / Huiyuan lived by the curve of Mount Lu. / Buying a mountain, their integrity surpassed the world; / Crossing in a bowl, they moreover traversed the river. / The Dharma rain falls from time to time; / The fragrant clouds drift in countless billows. / How can one be about to ascend as an immortal, / Yet come to deliver those caught in the worldly net?
