少時欣日益。老至苦年侵。紅顏既罷豔。白髮寧久吟。階庭惟仰杖。朝府不勝簪。甘肥與妖麗。徒有壯時心。

In youth, one rejoices as days multiply; / When old age arrives, one suffers the encroachment of years. / The rosy complexion has already lost its glamour; / Can the white hair long continue to chant? / In the courtyard, one leans solely on a cane; / At the court offices, one can no longer bear the hairpin. / Sweet delicacies and alluring beauties: / In vain does one retain the heart of one's prime.
