30.9

緬哉玄古思。想託因事生。相與圖靈器。像也像彼形。黃裳羅帕質。元服拕緋青。神為恭者惠。跡為動者行。虛堂陳樂餌。蔚然起奇榮。疑似垂巇微。我諒作者情。於焉遺所尚。蕭心凝太清。

How distant, the thoughts of dark antiquity! / Concepts arise depending upon worldly matters.
Together we depict the spiritual vessel, / Making an image that resembles that form.
Yellow skirts and gauze headcloths of silk; / Dark robes trailing vermilion and cyan.
The spirit confers grace upon the reverent; / The traces move forth for those in action.
In the empty hall are arrayed music and offerings; / Luxuriantly arise wondrous splendors.
As if hanging upon precipitous subtleties, / I truly understand the artist's feeling.
Hereupon I abandon what is esteemed; / With a calm mind, I congeal in the Great Pure.
