The Santian zhengfa jing says: 'When the nine qi had divided, the Heavenly Kings of the Nine Authenticity, down to the Ladies of the Three Primes, the Lords of the Three Primes, and the Grand High Lord of the Dao, thereupon took form. Reaching the Yellow Emperor, he first established the living people, fashioning soil into images in the wilderness. After three years they could speak, each in a different region; therefore there were the Cang, Qin, Yi, and Qiang. The five passions united in virtue, and the five dharmas were spontaneous; receiving the qi of the upper authenticities, they were able to become humans.'
