又濟苦經。乾坤洞然之後。潰然空蕩。計一劫之時。人物不存。其延生符四萬劫乃出。豈可四萬劫中絕無天人。幽幽冥冥。何其遠也。又萬萬止是一億。億億止是一兆。止言一億兆年而云。萬億萬億者。蓋新學造經。不知數之大小耳。

Furthermore, the Scripture on Relieving Suffering states that after heaven and earth burn through, they collapse into total emptiness. Calculating the time of one kalpa, neither people nor things survive, yet this Tally for Extending Life appears only after forty thousand kalpas—could it be that throughout forty thousand kalpas there are absolutely no heavenly beings or humans? Dim and murky, how excessively vast! Furthermore, ten thousand ten thousands is only one hundred million (yi), and a hundred million hundred millions is only one trillion (zhao). If one merely meant one hundred million trillion years, yet says ‘tens of billions of tens of billions’, it is only because beginners who concocted scriptures did not understand the scale of numbers.
