In Zheng prefecture, a pagoda was erected at Dingjue Temple. As the relics were about to arrive, there was a light east of the temple like a great shooting star, which entered before the Buddha hall and disappeared. When the palanquin reached this place, it stopped on its own for no reason. Afterward, the foundation of the pagoda was fixed on the western bank. From an old relic pagoda on the eastern bank, two streams of light flowed westward into the foundation site. The temple monks prepared a vegetarian meal for two thousand people, yet more than ten thousand ate without exhausting it; a single vat of cooked rice yielded eighty bowls of surplus food, providing for the temple assembly of two hundred people for several days before it was finished. As the relics were about to enter the casket, the banners hanging on all four sides turned inward at once without any wind.
