Great indeed is the wondrousness of Wondrous Awakening! Signless and non-physical, its emptiness cannot be plumbed to the limit. Yet establishing words and leaving instructions, it uses guidance as its method. Although the waves of compassion and waters of wisdom can irrigate, none know their source. The numinous scriptures and precious texts were collected from afar in the dragon treasury, which cannot be expressed in words. As for their meaning pointing beyond the Tianshan Mountains and their texts hidden beyond Jiaohu, they are not something that broken counting-slips can calculate. All of them deeply distinguished the ultimate and conventional, profoundly probing names and characteristics, resolving subtleties without obstruction, and resolving doubts as clearly as dawn. Gathering together in the Faxun Hermitage within the mansion, they expounded the profound note throughout the six skies, opening the Dharma gate for a thousand years. How magnificent! This was truly a grand event spanning generations. From the Dharma Master downward to the listening monks, their names are recorded on the left to commemorate this affair. Thereupon the encomium says:
