Senglang bows his head and prostrates himself. Since the Tathāgata entered the eternal realm, the breeze of the Way has sunk into dormancy. Unworthily occupying the rank of the renunciants, I lodge my mind amid mountain ridges; my sincerity is feeble and slight, and I have not been able to act as a great master. I did not imagine that Your Majesty would inquire from afar into the mountains and streams with such earnest imperial decrees. I am truly grateful for your benevolent intention. Yet my strength is frail and slight, not up to traversing the distance. I wish that you may widely turn the wheel of the Dharma and manifestly protect the heavenly mandate. Senglang bows his head and prostrates himself. Receiving your profound and generous gifts, I shall immediately put them to use. By the power of the merit and virtue, none shall fail to rely upon it. This poor monk's talent is inferior; I am overwhelmed by such heavy esteem.
