The five obscurations have dispersed in the sky; the lovely light marks the season. A hundred flowers of varied colours weave their splendours into spring. How is the state of your practice? May you be ever pure and at ease. Contemplating the pure and void, you already stand beyond the wind and clouds; wandering your mind into principle, you enjoy much of the bliss of concentration and wisdom. This disciple is entangled in worldly affairs and especially deeply fatigued. Looking back toward the Northern Peak, my admiration for your virtue has long accumulated. I hope the time for our meeting can surely be accomplished. Those bound by affinity are like the famished and thirsty, yearning for your arrival as three years in a single day. Thinking that you spread benefit, this should naturally not fail. I dispatch this letter with no words adequate to convey my sincere thoughts. Gang bows in reverence.
