Fifth, regarding petitioning texts that destroy virtue: To deliver the ancestors of seven generations and beg for release from carrying sand, they waste paper and brush submitting petitions to the Supreme Lord. They also say that on wuchen days, petitions will certainly not reach above; and if they do not reach the Supreme Lord, the living people will die untimely deaths. Alas, how sorrowful!
