帝即整容禮摩騰法師足。啟法師曰。弟子往蒙法師光相。喜滿交懷。又屈法師持法宣化。弟子一生再幸。不勝慈澤。法師大悅。令帝復坐。問竺法蘭法師曰。西域有道士以不。法師對曰。西域梵志者同此間道士。

The Emperor thereupon composed his demeanor and bowed at the feet of Dharma Master [Kāśyapa] Mātaṅga, addressing the Dharma Master: 'Your disciple previously received your luminous countenance, and joy filled my breast. Moreover, I troubled the Dharma Master to uphold the Dharma and spread the transformation; your disciple is twice blessed in this life, unable to bear your compassionate grace.' The Dharma Master was greatly pleased and told the Emperor to sit again. [The Emperor] asked Dharma Master Dharmaratna, 'Are there Daoist masters in the Western Regions or not?' The Dharma Master replied, 'The Brahmins of the Western Regions are the same as the Daoist masters here.'
