益州郭下法成寺沙門道卓。有名僧也。大業初雒縣寺塔無人修葺。纔有下基。卓乃率化四部。造木浮圖。莊飾備矣。塔為龍護居在西南角井中。時有相現側有三池。莫知深淺。三龍居之。人莫敢臨視。貞觀十三年。三龍大鬪。雷霆振擊水火交飛。久之乃靜。塔如本住。人皆拾取龍毛。長三尺許。黃赤可愛。

Śramaṇa Daozhuo of Facheng Temple outside the suburbs of Yizhou was an eminent monk. At the beginning of the Daye era, the temple stūpa in Luo County had no one to repair it, having only its lower foundation. Daozhuo then led and transformed the fourfold assembly to build a wooden stūpa, fully adorning it. The stūpa was protected by a dragon living in a well at the southwest corner; from time to time auspicious signs appeared. Beside it were three ponds of unfathomable depth, inhabited by three dragons, where no one dared to peer. In the thirteenth year of Zhenguan, the three dragons had a great battle: thunderclaps struck, and water and fire flew back and forth. Only after a long time did it grow calm, and the stūpa remained just as before. People all picked up dragon hairs, about three feet long, yellowish-red and lovely.
