When a stūpa was erected at Chongjiao Temple in Guazhou, the official Wang Wei of Weizhou was escorting ninety exiles and encountered the śarīra on the road; he released them on a pledge of return, setting a rendezvous every ten li for the released prisoners, and not a single one escaped.
