The encomium states:
When the true Dharma has faded,
The semblance era becomes dim.
Were there no enlightened and wise,
Whose light would the sun of wisdom shine?
Presenting the positive to eliminate the negative,
Talents soar and realities gather.
Examining the worthy of the past,
Verified on this very day.
Eminent and outstanding,
They raised the fallen guidelines.
Outspoken was Lord Xuan,
Receiving the fortunes to correct this.
The numerous deliberations were vast,
Great counsels were outspoken.
Orchid and chrysanthemum have differing beauties;
Silk and paulownia play alternately.
Lord Qin's grand brush,
Master Wang's distinct deliberation—
Elegance and simplicity walk different paths,
Yet their loyalty and integrity are equally fine.
Only with such abundant virtue,
No counsel was not good.
An exemplary style for an age,
Emitting fragrance for a thousand years.
