同賦形於姒鏡。皆仰化於姚風。豈有抗禮宸居獨高真軌。然輕尊傲長在人為悖。臣君敬父。於道無嫌考詳其義跪拜為允。謹議。

They share their endowment of form under the Xia mirror, and all look up to moral transformation under the Shun wind. How could they contest propriety with the imperial palace and hold aloof their true rules alone? Disrespecting the venerable and acting arrogant toward elders is insubordination among men. To serve the sovereign as a minister and revere the father carries no conflict with the Way. Examining and clarifying its principles, kneeling and bowing is appropriate. We respectfully submit our deliberation.
