器宇淹凝。才略通濟。銀章青綬。明經俯拾疏爵疇庸。無功克舉。令德彰於國史。策勳載于家諜。基茲閥閱。累葉光華。於鄧州造德王寺。房宇精嚴殿堂爽塏。住居形勝見者發心。

His capacity was deep and deliberate; his talent and strategies were comprehensive and efficacious. With a silver seal and blue sash, he grasped mastery of the Classics as easily as picking up an object; enfeoffments were bestowed in reward of his merits, and no task he undertook was left unaccomplished. His fine virtue was illumined in the state histories, and his meritorious records were chronicled in family annals. Building upon these noble lineages, his clan shone brightly generation after generation. In Dengzhou he built the Dewang Temple: its quarters were refined and austere, its halls open, high, and dry; situated in a scenic and superb spot, it inspired the resolve to attain awakening in all who saw it.
