待詔金馬之門。論儒石渠之學。梁園作賦。遇等枚鄒。從梁沒周。禮過申白。

He served as an attendant awaiting orders at the Golden Horse Gate, and debated Ruist teachings in the Stone Canal Hall. When composing rhapsodies in the Liang Garden, his reception equaled that of Mei Cheng and Zou Yang; moving from the Liang to become an official under the Zhou, the courtesies paid to him surpassed those given to Shen Pei and Mu Sheng.
