器度英舉。風宇清曠。奇功茂績。兼濟生民周道既衰。三邊鼎沸。肅寧方面摧遏兇醜。精誠丹欵貫徹幽明。志慮沈深聲猷遐遠。勳庸夙著。名器早隆。盛德至道坐鎮雅俗。時宗人傑。朝廷羽儀。爰用徂徠之松新甫之柏。建興佛殿起立僧坊。禪室鍾臺靡不精麗。講堂門屋咸悉高華。

His capacity and demeanor were heroic and preeminent; his bearing was lucid and expansive. With extraordinary merits and flourishing achievements, he aided and succored all living people. When the Zhou house declined and the three borders were boiling in turmoil, he solemnly pacified those regions and crushed the rebellious villains. His sincere and earnest devotion penetrated the seen and unseen realms; his thoughts were profound, and his reputation and legacy reached far into the distance. His illustrious deeds were noted from early on, and his prestigious vessels of state were exalted early. With abundant virtue and ultimate principle, he held sway over both the refined and the mundane, being the hero of his era and the model of the court. Thereupon, using the pines of Mount Culai and the cypresses of Mount Xinfu, he established Buddha halls and erected monastic residences; meditation chambers and bell pavilions were all exquisitely adorned, while lecture halls and gateway structures were all lofty and magnificent.
