平暴靜難之才。禦侮運籌之策。爪牙之用既顯。鷹揚之力遂宣。光國光家可大可久。股肱攸屬文獻具瞻。至信法言汲引無倦。興福造寺恒建檀那。奕葉公侯傳家台鼎。識空鑒有。服道知歸。其望益高其心逾下。

He possessed the talent to pacify violence and quell rebellions, and the strategy to resist aggression and plan campaigns. The utility of his talons and fangs having been manifested, his eagle-like might was thereupon displayed. Illustrious for his state and illustrious for his clan, his legacy was vast and enduring. He was one upon whom the realm's ministers relied, and toward whom all documents and sages looked up. With ultimate faith in the words of the Dharma, he tirelessly drew others forward, generating merit, constructing temples, and constantly serving as a dānapati. His descendants were dukes and marquises, passing down the three highest offices from father to son. Discerning the empty and perceiving the existent, he followed the Way and understood where to take refuge. The higher his prestige grew, the humbler his heart became.
