平直無私。守道寡欲。有長仁之操。善文雅之容。口誦維摩以為論本。時人高尚莫敢抗談。即陸載之第二子也。

He was fair, upright, and without private partiality, guarding the Way with few desires. He had the conduct of enduring benevolence, and excelled in refined and elegant deportment. He chanted the Vimalakīrti[-nirdeśa Sūtra] with his mouth, taking it as the basis for discussion; the people of that time esteemed him so highly that none dared to contest him in debate. He was indeed the second son of Lu Zai.
