內六喻曰（注迦葉生桓王丁卯之歲。終景王壬午之年。雖訖孔丘之時。不生姬昌之世。調御誕應昭王甲寅之年。終穆王壬申之歲。是為淨飯之胤。本出莊王之前）。

The Internal Sixth Analogy states: (Note: Kāśyapa [Laozi] was born in the dingmao year of King Huan and passed away in the renwu year of King Jing; though his life ended in the time of Kong Qiu, he was not born in the era of Ji Chang [King Wen]. The Tamer [Buddha] was born in response in the jiayin year of King Zhao and passed away in the renshen year of King Mu; thus as the scion of Śuddhodana, he originally preceded King Zhuang.)
