內九喻曰（注老是俗人。官居末品。衣冠拜伏自奉朝章。佛為聖主。道與俗乖服貌威儀不同凡制）。

The Internal Ninth Analogy states: (Note: Lao was a secular man whose official rank was of the lowest grade; wearing robes and cap, bowing and prostrating, he naturally complied with the court regulations. The Buddha was a sacred lord; his Dao diverged from the worldly, and his robes, appearance, and deportment differed from ordinary conventions.)
