某啟。近者竊聆。俯從眾命臨鎮弊山。祖席增光吾道復振。即辰伏惟法候休粹。某僑寓龍山。北趨尤為不便。不及遠迎舟御甚愧畏也。謹先奉啟咨聞。不宣。

I, [Qisong], state: Recently I have learned that you have condescended to comply with the community's request to oversee this humble mountain. The ancestral seat is enhanced with glory, and our Dao is revived once again. At this moment, I humbly hope your Dharma health is flourishing and pure. Lodging temporarily on Longshan, traveling north is especially inconvenient for me, and that I failed to go far to welcome your vessel fills me with great shame and apprehension. I respectfully send this letter in advance to inform you. Respectfully submitted.
