某啟。伏自京師罷奉貴遊還山。雖聞廣按江外終無以奉書。適知軒從已屆此郡。伏惟尊履休美。某近自蘇挈書欲圖奏納。以疾未暇前趨容稍平復。當以微意上扣。謹此先布區區。伏惟念察。不宣。

I, [Qisong], state: Humbly, since ceasing my attendance upon the noble circles in the capital and returning to the mountains, although I heard you were extensively inspecting the regions beyond the River, I ultimately had no way to present a letter. Having just learned that your carriage and retinue have arrived in this commandery, I humbly hope your honorable health is fine and flourishing. Recently, carrying books from Suzhou, I intended to submit them to the throne, but due to illness I have not had the leisure to hasten forward; once I have slightly recovered, I shall lay my humble thoughts before you. I respectfully send this in advance to express my slight sentiments. I humbly pray you will look upon this with mindful favor. Respectfully submitted.
