某啟。前日伏承臨訪山舍。無以為待不勝愧畏。繼以佳什見寵稠重風調高雅。豈幽陋之可攀續。不揆荒唐勉強和之。但以取笑大手名匠。暑濕惟自重。不宣。

I state: The other day I was honored by your visit to my mountain hermitage. Having nothing with which to entertain you, I was overcome with shame and trepidation. Following that, you favored me with your fine verse, which was generous, weighty, and of lofty and elegant style. How could an obscure and rustic person like me match it? Without considering my own absurdity, I have forced myself to harmonize with it, only to court laughter from a master craftsman. In the summer dampness, please take good care of yourself.
