秀氣欝兮在若人之躬。吾昔覩之兮卓異群不同。驗治迹兮今也炳融。慨爾師兮不覿乎君子之風。方別離兮江涘。趨雙闕兮千里。帝座煌煌兮君門嚴深。勉自進兮勿使陸沈。

The refined breath gathers lushly in this person's body! / Formerly I beheld him, towering and distinct, unlike the rest. / Testing his traces of governance, now they shine brilliantly! / Lamenting your master—who did not live to witness this gentleman's style! / Just as we part by the river's edge, / You hasten toward the paired palace gates a thousand li away. / The imperial throne is radiant, the lord's gates are austere and deep. / Strive to advance yourself; do not let yourself be buried in obscurity!
