讀書老何為。更讀聊遮眼。此意雖等閒。高情寄無限。錯磨千古心。翻覆幾忘飯。不知白雲去。春靜山中晚。

Reading books in old age—what is the point? / Yet I read on, merely to beguile the eyes. / Though this intention is quite casual, / Boundless lofty feeling is lodged within. / Polishing and scouring the minds of a thousand ages, / Tossing and turning, several times I forget my meals. / Unaware that the white clouds have departed, / Spring is quiet as evening falls in the mountains.
