猿聲未落鳥聲愁。筍發花開㵎水流。還對春風驚節物。漫思野老傍林丘。古人得道多深隱。賢守知名貴早收。林下頻過君莫怪。自看骨相匪封侯。
Before the calls of gibbons subside, the birds' cries sound sorrowful; / bamboo shoots sprout, flowers bloom, and ravine waters flow. / Facing the spring breeze once again, one is startled by the seasonal phenomena, / idly longing for the rustic elder beside the wooded hill. / When ancients attained the Way, most lived in deep seclusion; / for a worthy governor of renown, it is noble to withdraw early. / Do not blame me for frequently visiting beneath the woods— / looking at my own bone-structure, I am not destined to be enfeoffed as a marquis.
