暝色陰森雪和雲。故人當此動吟魂。烟凝火冷萬家靜。水色山光竟夜昏。興發晉賢前古遠。詩傳蕭寺邇今存。春歸嵒壑多芳樹。漫欲遙君同聽猿。

Dusk's colors are gloomy and somber, snow blending with clouds; / an old friend at this moment stirs his chanting soul. / Mist congeals, fires go cold, ten thousand homes are quiet; / water-hues and mountain-glow are dim throughout the night. / Inspiration stirs: the Jin worthies of antiquity are far away; / poems are transmitted: Xiao Liang's temples still survive up to the present. / Spring returns to the cliff gorges, fragrant trees are many; / I casually wish to invite you from afar to listen to the gibbons together.
