寒郊纔喜歲華新。景物陰陰又一旬。雲帶天低垂壓野。雨藏春晝暗迷人。寧愁燈火妨明月。却嘆詩家惜令辰。陶令而今臥江國。倚樓吟望更誰親。

In the cold suburbs, barely had one rejoiced in the new glory of the year, / when the scenery turned gloomy and dim for another ten days. / Clouds carry the sky low, hanging down to oppress the wilderness; / rain conceals the spring daylight, darkly confusing people. / Rather than lamenting that lamps and candles obstruct the bright moon, / one sighs instead that poets begrudge the fine season. / Magistrate Tao now lies reclined in the river country; / leaning against the tower and chanting toward the horizon, who else is dear to him?
