冉冉流年年曆新。仲春春日未盈旬。何為萬里青雲士。來問雙峯白髮人。詩思雅驚含老格。風神清爽惜芳辰。況聞傲令陶元亮。臘屐須來與我親。

Flowing on and on, the calendar of the year is new; / mid-spring days have not yet filled a ten-day span. / Why should a gentleman of the blue clouds across ten thousand leagues / come to inquire after a white-haired man of the Twin Peaks? / The poetic sentiments are wonderfully startling, containing an aged style; / his spirit is clear and crisp, cherishing the fragrant season. / How much more so having heard of Magistrate Tao Yuanliang's aloof pride: / with your wax clogs, you must come and keep company with me.
