暮雲將雨苦紛紛。看雨携君倚寺門。飛鳥驚雷歸後塢。落梅流水出前村。名山當爾何須去。勝事而今更好論。況有禪翁通妙理。徘徊重欵扣真源。

Evening clouds about to rain drift thick and heavy; / watching the rain, I hold you close by the temple gate. / Flying birds startled by thunder return to the rear mound; / falling plums drift with flowing water out of the front village. / In such a famed mountain, why would you need to depart? / Splendid matters right now are all the better to discuss. / Moreover, here is a Chan elder who penetrates the wondrous principle; / lingering again and again, we knock at the true source.
