天寒雨細日將暮。泥滑誰禁策馬還。砂穴吐泉鳴決決。竹叢歸鳥語關關。聊睎謝客須穿屐。莫羨支公獨買山。方外論交情未淺。願陪投老白雲間。

The sky is cold with fine rain as the sun is about to set; / The mud is slippery—who could hold back a spurred horse from returning? / Sand hollows spit out springs that gurgle, / Bamboo groves hold returning birds whose cries sound out. / For a time aspiring to Xie Lingyun, one must wear clogs; / Do not envy Master Zhi alone buying a mountain. / Discourse and friendship outside the worldly realm are by no means shallow; / I wish to keep company growing old among the white clouds.
