19.16

（命研味其詩。雖風調氣韻高爽酋勁。而中間凡用事綴韻過于迂辟。今略取其辭意簡雅超邁之句。次成七十三韻。亦可見其才志向慕之誠至焉）。

(I was commanded to examine and savor his poem. Although its poetic tone and spiritual vigor are high-minded, crisp, and robust, the allusions and rhymes employed throughout are overly convoluted and obscure. Now I have selected only the concise, elegant, and transcendent lines, arranging them into seventy-three rhymes, which also demonstrate the utmost sincerity of his talent and aspiration in admiring [the Master]).
