第三十四化云。老君告胡王曰。使我弟子為佛。汝當師之。即使尹喜變身為佛。與胡人為師。令作桑門授以浮圖之法。說四十二章經。又云。老君至舍衛國。自化作佛坐七寶座。身長百千萬丈遍滿虛空。又云。老君將欲再整釋教。以周莊王九年。乃於梵天命煩陀王（老君弟子）乘月精。託陰天竺摩耶夫人胎。至十年四月八日右脇誕生。後入雪山修行六年。道成類佛陀。眾號末牟尼。至匡王四年。解化太上命昇賈弈天。為善惠仙人。

The thirty-fourth transformation states: Lord Lao told the barbarian king, 'I shall have my disciple become a buddha, and you must take him as your master.' Thereupon he had Yin Xi transform his body into a buddha to be a master to the barbarians, commanded them to become śramaṇas, bestowed on them the Dharma of the Buddha (futu), and preached the Scripture of Forty-Two Sections. It also states: Lord Lao went to the country of Śrāvastī, transformed himself into a buddha seated on a seven-jeweled throne, with a body hundreds of thousands of myriad zhang tall, filling all of empty space. It also states: When Lord Lao wished to reorganize the Buddhist teachings once again, in the ninth year of King Zhuang of Zhou, he commanded King Fantuo (a disciple of Lord Lao) from the Brahma heaven to ride the lunar essence and enter the womb of Lady Māyā in India. In the tenth year, on the eighth day of the fourth month, he was born from her right flank. Later he entered the Snowy Mountains and cultivated the practice for six years; when his Way was accomplished, he resembled a buddha, and the multitudes called him Momouni (Śākyamuni). In the fourth year of King Kuang, shedding this transformation, the Supreme Lord commanded him to ascend to the Jiayi Heaven as the immortal Shanhui (Sumedha).
