昔華嚴會上二乘聖人。皆是漏盡大阿羅漢（梵語阿羅漢。此云無學。昔者華嚴會上。佛說此經之時。聲聞緣覺二乘小聖。諸漏已盡。皆是煩惱斷盡阿羅漢）。

Long ago, in the Avataṃsaka assembly, the holy beings of the two vehicles were all great arhats whose outflows were exhausted (The Sanskrit 'arhat' means 'no more learning' here. Long ago, in the Avataṃsaka assembly, when the Buddha expounded this sūtra, the lesser holy beings of the two vehicles of śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas had exhausted all outflows and were all arhats whose afflictions were completely cut off).
