妙明曰。此乃大聖人之諡號也（史記。諡法者行之跡也。號者功之表也。有大功則稱諡號）。

Miaoming said, "This is the posthumous title and honorific epithet of the Great Sage. (The Shiji says: 'The rules of posthumous titles record the traces of actions; honorific epithets manifest achievements.' When there are great achievements, one is addressed by a posthumous title and honorific epithet.)
