性寂寒潭皎月（性體寂然。若寒潭水中之月影雖動而不搖流而不去矣）。

The nature is quiescent, like the bright moon in a cold pool (the substance of the nature is quiescent; like the moon's reflection in the water of a cold pool, though it moves it does not waver, and though it flows it does not depart).
