Miaomingzi (Took renunciation at Hongfu Monastery in Weinan County, Huazhou. Encountered the Elder of Yu’yan, the venerable Xiang, and attained the Dharma there. Propagated the Mahāyāna sūtras, vinaya, and śāstras. During the Zhizheng era of the Great Yuan, by imperial decree he was enfeoffed as the Great Imperial Preceptor Run, Transmitter of the Mahāyāna Precepts and Bestowed with the Purple Robe.)
