王生憂懼恐斷國嗣。遂增以侍御音樂娛之。太子不悅（王知太子心欲出家。恐懼斷絕國之後嗣。遂增添侍奉婇女。加以管絃音樂取其歡樂太子不以為悅樂也）。

The king gave rise to grief and fear, worried that the royal succession would be severed. Thereupon he increased the serving concubines and musical performances to entertain him, but the prince took no delight in them. (The king knew that the prince wished in his heart to leave home, and feared the severance of the kingdom's succession. He then added serving maidens and supplemented them with instrumental music to give him pleasure, but the prince took no delight or joy in it.)
